Portfolio is dooooooooooooooooone

Finally i finished my portfolio. I spent great deals of time on it and i turned it in today. I didnt stay at calarts too long because i totally ignored writing a research paper because of i ><. Looks like ill be staying up all night AGAIN. anyways id like to thank my mom and mountain dew aswell as my teacher daniel duplessis. Id also like to thank my brother who took photos for me. Wish me luck cause i might need it :P. cheers

death

today i thought about death. for i second i wanted to do as much as i could before i would die but then i thought it wouldnt be a life well lived if i wasnt lazy. I also think my posts are stupid and boring so ill slow down and make more meaningful posties

Lets talk about animation

I dont talk much about animation so i think ill start doing that along with the other stuff.

Day
Today was the last day of my life drawing class , it was really sad cause i'm going to miss all my classmates ): we were all so close. My teacher is going to stop teaching at our school so that was sad too. He really had a unique nice british personality haha. Hopefully next semester i wont get some super conservative teacher bleh!

Animation

I was just thinking the other day about how hard it is to get a good stable job in 2d animation. I really cant choose whether I want to do 3d or 2d because Though my heart wants to go with 2d I want a stable job for the family.So what do you think the smarter choice is and what do you want to do?

I think its really important to look at the jungle book because it was one of the most well done animated films. Not only was it the last film walt worked on but it seemed to have the league of extrodinary animators working on it. Anyways be sure to check out the rest on youtube.

Dont you hate it when

the girl you work so hard to flirt with ends up having a boyfriend. dammit! so today I will talk about playing god (with insects). I used to be really anti-insect and kill every one in my house without a second thought, but recently when i found out i might be poor in the future i have been trying to make friends with these tiny 6 legged creatures. I have compiles a small list of rules since then that dictate whether an insect should be killed or not. For crickets, if it leaved me alone and doesn't come near me it will live. For spiders if its not too big and leaves me along it will live. For cockroaches, ALL COCKROACHES MUST DIE! i hate those things. Well today i added a new rule. you see there was this cricket in my bathroom that was missing its hind leg and was dragging itself by its front feet. it got in my comfort zone but i decided to pity it and let it live. So now if an insect is handicapped it will live. (cept cockroaches). why do you read my blog (seriously)

well heres todays random clip. Its a 3d animation from one of those french 3d artist guys. Theyve got a really good school down there for animation. I really thought he nailed the 2d style aspect of it. enjoy

a day of doing?

Today i had to go to school. bleh its alright. Buttt after school i had life drawing. i did a few drawings but at the very end when i had a pose i liked time ran out. then i found out it was the last class we were drawing at ):. i need to start drawing in my sketchbook.

In your daily internet videos, i have watched jizz in my pants about 1000 times now. Its a music video from some guys down at snl who are starting a band. You can watch it in hd on youtube.

did almost nothing haha

Soo the entire day i had flash open and ended up drawing a whole bunch of doodles instead of actually animating hahaha. I multi tasked again and finished my series which was pretty good. I kinda wish all endings were cheesy and gave you everything you wanted but it never ends that way *sigh*.

In other news check out this awesome disney short i watched today. I love how they portray mortimer as a total dick. I think most guys can relate to something like this where they see they girlfriend swoon over some jerk. Thats what made me love it so much ahaha. Kinda giving me inspiration for animating

tired of animating

so ive (kind of) finished the rough draft animation for something I will put in my portfolio. I was planning on getting my entire reel done this weekend but like always i got kinda lazy and flakes (kind of). I ended up watching anime on my computer while animating haha. I was watching GTO which is about this ex biker who becomes a teacher, its pretty funny. I need to stop being lazy since i have too many things to do before this month is over. I really hope i make it into calarts :P

In real life news I went shopping yesterday for secret santa stuff. Me and my friend got people who are best friends so we are giving them matching outfits haha. I spent so much money on these kids, I really hope I get something good to back.
